If you don't mind could you explain me how Home Office has found that your friend was working more than 20 hours. They have given any evidence. As I know, Home Office only proof if they get information from employer or found wage slips... I don't think they've got information from HMRC. If employer has given information to Home Office, definitely employer will get plenty £20,000.00. If you don't mind could you please share it if do you have further information.Raza.raja wrote:oni82 wrote:Guys has anyone got refused ILR (recently)due to excess working during their Student period?

Hi,dominoman wrote:well, is quite unclear from the document to understand but even if he would have applied for T1 still a Travelodge Hotel salary would have never been enough to succeed, so I am confused really

Hi,dominoman wrote:Thanks A.
That's worrying. Yes I guess easter and the recent fees increase both are creating a backlog.
When you say 4 weeks do you mean total to get the ILR, or 4 weeks before you can ask for a status?
In my case I already have the biometric card from my last visa application two years ago so I guess I don't need to do it again?
Realistically how likely is it I will have my ILR by 1st May? Should I just cancel my trip now
You should have applied in person for a same day decision if you have travel plans so soon. You will have to wait for however long it takes.dominoman wrote:I spoke to a very helpful man at the UK Visas and Immigration contact centre today.
Because we are due to travel in mid May I wanted to see what the chance of the ILR application being complete was. He was able to confirm that it was on the system, but after 1 month we still havent received the BRP letter.
The man I spoke to said a postal ILR application takes on average 6 months.![]()
Has anyone applied by postal application recently? Please post here on how long it took, and what your situation was (simple application or more complex with self-employment, long times away etc)
