2 sources of income

Post by jan39 » Sun Jul 24, 2016 6:16 pm

I have 2 jobs, just confused earning period (12 months) should be same for both?
For example first job income from early 10 months of 15 months before apply, and for second job I take the earnings for last 11 months of 15 months. To make it simple: I apply on 1 Aug 2016
Earnings from 1 Jun 2015 to 31 May 2016 for first job
Earnings from 1 Aug 2015 to 31 July 2016 for second job
Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thank you

unfortunately you will not be able to claim in that way and start & ending date of all the earnings within single consecutive 12 months. No matter how many source you are adding but it must be within a single/same consecutive 12 months.

So here you have to deduct 1st job june july 15 or 2nd job june july 16 :(

the issue is not with many income source. anyone can have multiple source/job and also can have job start date in different different month but the whole claim should be within consecutive 12 month. here the claim period 1 june 2015 to 31 july 2016 which is 14 MONTHS and this is the issue as it has to be 12 months (which is why he need to deduct first to month of job 1 or last two month of job 2, need to compromise on any of this to make the claim period 12 month).

He is not claiming 1st june to 31st july infact he is claiming below dates which are absolutely fine i dont see any problem in it. I dont understand why you keep on saying there will be a problem....even JAN 39: KNOS about the rules of 12months consecutive within last 15months where is the problem you can see......
For me his time period is absolutely fine......coz his first job is consecutive 12 month and 2nd job is aslo 12months respectively..

Earnings from 1 Jun 2015 to 31 May 2016 for first job
Earnings from 1 Aug 2015 to 31 July 2016 for second job

thanks

the rules is consecutive 12 months income (no matter how many source), and the whole purpose is how much you earn in a consecutive 12 month from immediate 15 month of application. on this case the claim coming 1st June 2015 to 31st July 2016 and which is clearly 14 months. However I am here not to argue but this is very clear understanding of the rules.

the rules is
"An applicant can claim points for the earnings he/she has previously made for
his/her work. The applicant can claim points for previous earnings in any single, consecutive
12-month period during the 15 months immediately before the date of applying.

If an applicant claims for a period of earnings that is more than 12 months, or has
not indicated a period for assessment of earnings, we will assess the most recent
period of 12 months for which he/she has provided evidence"

so the claim coming in this case for 14 month, which will not be accepted as per the rules.

STILL confused and double minded, sunymalik claimed he has got the visa following the same way. You mentioned the rule, I am aware of this rule but this rule doesn't say anything for multiple source of earnings to be considered as a single source within 12 months, but at the same time HO considering it as all earnings for the applicant. Logically I think you are right, but the rule is not clear about it, and sunymalik said his application was successful.
Thanks
