ILR Application date Tier 1

Post by riddhi14 » Sun Apr 19, 2015 7:29 am

Hi Seniors,

I got Tier 1 General visa on 15th July,2010 and entered UK on 24th July,2010.

Please advise whether I can apply for ILR on or after 18th June,2015.

Further while filling up form SET(O) (latest form dated 6th April,2015) in column 7.11 HOW LONG HAVE YOU LIVED IN UK
SHOULD I MENTION 5 YEARS OR 4 YEARS AND 11 MONTHS. SINCE IF I APPLY ON 18TH JUNE 2015 IT WILL BE LESS THAN 5 YEARS.

you can apply on or after 17th June 2015

Visa Start Date :- 15th July,2010
Earliest ILR application Date :- (15th July,2010 + 5years) -28 Days
:- 15 July 2015-28 days= 17th June 2015

From Wednesday, 15 July 2015
Subtracted 28 days
Result: Wednesday, 17 June 2015

7.11 HOW LONG HAVE YOU LIVED IN UK :- This is nothing to do with qualifying period. In this section you have to mention your duration of physical presence in UK from 24th July,2010.

In my case it was 4 years and 8 months and few days for which I wrote 4 months and 8 moths.

Hope this helps

It should be read as

Hi Honey,

Thanks for the advice.

One more question.

I shall be providing income proof from 1st April,2014 till 31st March,2015 i.e. within 15 months of application.

But as per SET(O) I have to provide latest 3 months salary slips as well.

Do I have to submit latest 3 months' salary slips and if there is any condition regarding income for these months also. Can I submit 2 months' i.e. April & May pay slips and bank account statement and only pay slip for June,2015 since may be the bank statement since generated earlier will not show that salary being credited into the account.

For which Section you are providing the above proof??

Yes that is correct.

But if I submit 3 months' salary slips will it be sufficient evidence.

Or they will ask for 2 different evidences i.e. pay slips and bank account statement (since the entry for 3rd month may not be available on the statement immediately).

Although it is nowhere written in the form SET(O) that 2 different evidences have to be provided in this col. as well.
