It may not necessarily be about you being self employed, could be anything.

Were you also self employed at the time of your initial and extension(s) of Tier 1 G? Have all the taxes been paid covering the last 5 years if applicable, starting from your tier 1G initial visa?

Did you claim education points on a UK or foreign Degree in your current ILR application? Was it a Degree or PGD/C? Did you take & passed B1 English language exam? If so, which type of language exam did you take and from which college?

Or did you claim language points on your previous degree or certificate that you supplied during the initial/extension of Tier 1G visa?

@Murugan , When you applied for your ILR ? Did you showed your last 12 months previous earnings from Self -Employed ? Secondly when you got your extension and Initial tier1 visa during those time are you Self -Employed ? What was your nature of your business ?

Did you applied your ILR Via Post ????? As long as you have paid taxes should not be a problem they may have some query regarding your business they might ask otherwise you should be fine ? What else in your letter did they say ??????

Yes my initial and extension were based on self employment and ilr also self employment. ILR via post. the letter just said they were unable to process my application before 6 months time and they will be calling me for a interview. the time and location of the interview will be intimated to me in another letter. It also says they aim to process my application before 3rd may 2015. nature of my business is iam a webconsultant and do sales for a retail store.
