I have ILR since 1986 continuous then told ex abroad owes me paid airfare but Job centre held up money past 5PM say didn't tell said its allowed and was to on way, MP said refund money JC said no, advice incomplete found takes years, had to borrow frm embassy to go & repay loan with interest and new passport so and am disabled with surgery on spine so was delayed and man at UKBA ignored 4stamps confirming ILR said no info ever lived UK yet saw DLA letter to me and try to say lost rights, law says if lived here most of life over 2 years away not matter and lived 24yrs b4 left and due to injury&(made worse likely need surgery due to forced to live in hostels with many stairs) bad advice lost air-fare delayed return. Now applied for NTL one staff said given wrong visitor visa and disabled supervisor said get NTL applied November Biometric December, now some staff told Housing I've no right to public funds housing/Employment supp. based on Drs sick notes &MRI, UKBA aware over 1 year cause injury to surgery and man not say truth re I did have file at airport & Immig. file later proves Ive had ILR since 86 yet try to say its up to any staff to respect my rights and one older male UKBA in 2013 tried to say no info yet saw 2 documents and said no file (which was not true)are staff allowed to cause harm and injury and pretend they see no info to while looking at passport stamps? and as aware of hardships sister paid thousands to help me pay room and harm to surgery why don't they speed it up and where can I find immigrants emergency help? I've had right to apply Naturalization but told to take ex to court and on low income, so why deny Ive lived here most of life and I've rights and one staff misrepresent that I've no rights to housing office recently rented not say Ive hd ILR am waiting NTL?

I called the Croydon office and they said that they are currently processing October SET(M) applications.

Have people who applied in Oct-Nov received any responses?

Mine was SET (O) application..
Application Type - Postal
Date of application - 14/11/2013
Biometrics provided at post office – 31/12/2013
Waiting since then for further update….

tmpmem, you mentioned that you have contracted the Croydon office to check the application status; is it only for SET (M) or even for SET (O) also?

If only for SET (M), do you have contact details for SET (O) enquiry?

Thanks,

I had called 08706067766 to ask about my wife's SET(M) application.
I think this number can be used to inquire about any application (including SET(O)).

Evening all,

Just a question for you all, my timeline is as follows:
Type: SET(O) - Work permit, 5 years.
Application sent :19/Sep/2013
Received by HO: 20/Sep/2013
Acknowledgement letter received: 23/09/2013
Biometric enrolment letter received : 11/Oct/2013
Biometric enrolled :12/Oct/2013
Biometric Card received: 21/02/2014
BRP dated: 14/02/2014

As you can see I have recevied a BRP - but, I still have not received an acknowledgement letter, my passport or any of my documents. It's over 2 weeks since the BRP was issued and the 21st was the 2nd attempt at delivery, it was missed on the 18th.
I've noticed most people get their documents back pretty much on the same day as the BRP and I personally am quite concerned at this point - can anyone comment on their experience or general thoughts on this?
I have tried calling the number 0870 606 7766 everyday since last week Thursday, at least 4 tries a day, and the result is the same, the automated message states "Our office is busy" disconnect - how does one go about contacting someone at the HO?
Thank you.

Hi Everyone,

Just found this forum and although it gives me peace of mind that I am not alone in the dreaded ILR wait, the harsh realisation of wait times is almost too much to bear. I have applied for ILR Set(O) - under previous Tier 1 General Visas. My previous Tier 1 applications also said that 90% of applications are decided within 6 months, however, both applications were decided in less than 2 months (in 2011 I applied on September 27th and application was approved November 2nd!)... Oh but not this time around.. My optimism has left me nauseas and down hundreds of pounds due to the ski trip I had booked for this Friday which I will not able to go on due to no travel documents. Oh how I now wish that I had spent the extra £300 for an in-person visit... Nevertheless, for those of you curious about wait times..

Application posted: 24/10/13 by courier
Application received/signed for: 25/10/13
Payment taken: 5/11/13
Acknowlegment letter dated : 30/10/13
Biometrics letter dated: 26/11/13
Biometrics done :3/12/13
Approval Letter Received: n/a
Documents received: n/a
BRP card received: n/a

UPDATE: I just got off the phone with home office as I was querying change of address process as I am moving house in 2 weeks. This can be done online and is processed in 72 hours. I then asked whether she could check on my application and she agreed that she can check to see if it's still pending... apparently a decision has been made and a decision letter was sent by post yesterday 3rd March 2014.. but still won't have my travel docs in time for skiing!!! UGH... so close yet so far..

One question: Does anyone know whether you can travel to the EU if I have my passport back but not my BRP card? I am a US citizen.

Great to see that some people have received their BRP recenlty. Congrats!
It seems that the processing rate has again slowed down a bit as there have been very few updates in last few days.

Thought of updating the forum..

Just come off the phone with Home office, enquired about my ILR SET (O) postal application sent on 14/11/13. They said it is still incomplete and asked me to wait further. It seems they are still working on Oct'13 applications..

Hi All,

Received my letter and passport and documents all together yesterday (picked up from post office yesterday)... All I am waiting for is my BRP... I am supposed to go to France tomorrow and although the letter specifically states "You are advised to not make any travel arrangements until you receive your Biometric Residence card", I was thinking of risking it? Does anyone know if there are severe consequences if you try to get back in without the card? Most forums say that you are held at border control longer than usual to fingerprint you and confirm you're okay to return... does anyone know?

Please Please Advise
To The Expert,SSWSZ, Guru and any one who can give me and advice.

Me and my Daughter came in UK on 16/July/2004 as Visitor Visa (Mean 6 Month Visa Tourist). My first Daughter is 10 Years old now who was born in Mauritius, she came after 3 Months, Second Daughter is 7 Years old Born in UK in Sep 2006. I lost One Daughter 2 Years ago (Still Born Baby). :(
We convert our Visitor visa as Student Dependant Visa on November 2004 till Now, as my husband is here since October 2003 as on student visa till June 2014.

My queries are I got 35-40 days Gap for making the 10Years application. Our visa is run out on 06/June/2014. (Me and my First Daughters came on 16 July 2004).

1. What is the best way to apply?
2. Which application we need to make?
3. Which Document need to provide?
Please answer my queries. I will appreciate your help.

God Bless
Best Regards
From
Bibi

Just spoken to UKBA @ 03001232241 (new no) regarding ILR postal applications status; the person on the phone confirmed that they are about to complete the Oct’13 applications.

Hopefully, they will start working on the Nov’13 applications soon…??

Did they tell which type of Oct'13 applications have they completed? SET(LR), SET(O), SET(M) etc?
Or did they just tell you "ILR application" in general?

Hi

I am about to apply SET M for my wife. I have question about the form in Section 8.

8.5 Does a relative or friend of you or
your partner, or both of you, regularly
give you money? if yes, so then how much???

My wife does not work so she just rely on me for financially. i believe I have to say yes..but what figure we need to write??

Can someone please advise me.

I will appreciate your urgent reply.

Thanks

Hi all,

In the other forum for settlement based on 10/14 year residence, there are at least 2-3 approvals received almost everyday. But in this forum, the rate is much less.
I am wondering if SET(LR) applications are processed faster than SET(O) and SET(M). Or if number of SET(LR) applications is much bigger than other ILR applications.

Any idea?
