Fingers crossed Anaia!

It shows that they must be looking at some Feb applications. Does any one know if it makes a difference what SET you are on? E.g. Do they do all the SET O's together or do they just do a mix?

My timeline is as follows:

Date we married : January 2012 (after a friendship of about 3 years)
Date I moved to Wales : 31 January 2012
Spouse first Visa duration : 2 years and 3 months
Visa expiration : 30 April 2014
Applied for ILR : 26 April 2014
Received by HO : 28 April at 9.40am
Acknowledgement from HO : 29 April 2014 (but I received it a day or two after this date).
Payment : By cheque, taken a few days after application was sent.
Present Status : waiting ...(was expecting the Biometrics enrolment letter to have arrived by now, and will call if I have
not received anything by month end).

My advice to anyone applying is to be fairly organized, from the day you apply for your first visa remember to keep every little piece of paper relating to it, filed somewhere safe for future reference.

The life in the UK Test is another thing to not leave till last minute, it requires a sound understanding of English to be able to understand reading the study guide. I started studying 2 weeks before the test and got myself really worked up about it because everything hangs in the balance, your spouse, your children - there is such a huge scattering of dates in the guidebook (and info) and my mother in law piped up and said she did not know half the stuff in there...then only to find I completed the test in all truth and honesty, in all of about 5 minutes and probably aced it, since I knew all they asked. Its quite steep, that they ask everyone to pass with distinction (minimum 75%). Usually that is expected of doctors and dentists at institutions such as a university...

I didnt ask for stats, I was just glad to get outta there. I wondered about them searching me and all other candidates (under your (long hair if its long) and you have to roll up your sleeves and so on, it made one a bit uncomfortable (an italian lady next to me looked at her friend across the room and dropped her jaw) but since you are in a vulnerable position, you say nothing...
As a teacher of many years, I found that somewhat unsavoury. I have no problems with tests, I used to top my class many years of my life as a student, but oh well, you get on with it don't you...

I will now have to wait and see how things go and take it from there. May God bless and keep you.

HI Everyone, here is my timeline update:

Posted SET (M): 08/01/2014
Payment Taken: 10/01/2014
Biometric letter received: 18/01/2014
Biometrics enrolled: 22/01/2014
Documents received: 20/05/2014

This board has been very helpful. Thank you to everyone who posted their timelines. Just made it easier waiting.

Am I now able to travel to Europe with my passport, or do I need to wait to receive the BRP before I can leave the country?

Thanks

Just be patient, if you follow the thread on this forum you willnoticed January application is on process, expect decision
between now and next month. On average people get decision within 4--6months.

You will need visa to visit European countries and also will need your BRP on arrival in the UK.

Hello everyone,
I just phoned up UKBA regarding the status of my application form. The lady on the phone said my application is for reconsideration and I should continue to wait until they here from us..
What does that mean? I am really worried.
Anybody had similar experience and had success at the end?

Any insight is much appreciated.

My time line:
Applied for SET(M) by post on the 08/01/2014,
Acknowledgement letter on: 09/01/2014
Money deducted on 10/01/2014
Biometrics letter on: 20/01/14
Biometrics enrolled on 03/02/14
Decision: still waiting.

Thank you
