ILR - Application - Ancestry.

Post by ShereeAmber09 » Tue Jul 22, 2014 9:30 am

Hello

I have applied for my ILR after 5 years on Ancestry basis.
Application posted & Home office received Monday 21/07/2014
Payment taked - 22/07/2014

Any ideas of time scales once you have done biometrics for those who have applied via Ancestry route?

Has anyone applied by post recently?

I applied on 3rd July and the payment was taken on 4th July but still no invitation for biometrics! I thought you'd normally get the invitation within two weeks!

I'm extremely happy for you guys that have been waiting all this time and got your BRP or at least your docs back, which unfortunately me and others that just applied in July will have to go through.
@Subtle - I applied on 02/07/14 and as I paid by cheque, the didn't take the payment til 09/07/14. So you'll probably hear from them sooner than me, I think.
I'm also waiting for Biometrics letter, which by what I have been observing it's taking between 10-16 days to come after you've received the Acknowledgement letter.

Good luck to the March applicants! Hopefully this will all be over soon.

Thanks pal.

I think me and you are in the same boat here. My application was received on 2nd July and Acknowledgement letter I received is dated 3rd July. I also paid the fees by cheque which went through in their account on 8th July.

But its actually my application and 1 dependant. However, I am guessing I might receive biometric invitation any time soon. Hopefully by the end of this week.

Our application is now pending, but no decision has been made yet. I need to stop phoning all the time as the disappointment all the time is awful.

Askim

these call centre staff at UKBA will use all these terms: 'that application is under process' " application is pending' etc etc
the fact is that they have very limited information available on their screen too so not much their fault. thats why i dont see any point calling as the most favourite argument which they like to give is that your application is still within the 6 months standard service standard so we will only be able to raise your query when 6 months have been passed.. so no point calling them.. all we can do is just wait and bloody wait

Applied 07 March 2014
