Hi,
Most of the posts are for SET(M) and Tier 1. Could someone applying with tier 2 post as well please? Thanks!
I just freaked out yesterday because I received my passport and BRP yesterday, I thought my application for ILR has been refused, so they sent me back these two.

My timeline for my ILR application s as follows:

submission of documents (Tier 2, Set O): Jan 29, 2015
received by UKVI: Jan 30, 2015
received acknowledgement letter: Feb 06, 2015 (dated Feb 2)
fee taken from my account: Feb 03, 2015
email from caseworker about my reference number: Feb 09, 2015
Biometric letter received: FEB 11, 2015 (dated Feb 6)
Biometric enrolment done: Feb 11, 2015
Passport and BRP returned: Feb 14, 2015 (with a letter dated Feb 12)
Decision: WAITING

This is a fairly new part of the process (only for Tier 2) where passport and BRP are sent back to the applicant within 10 days (of being put in the system) while awaiting decision. The decision making time will still be within six months. I have been reading posts on this forum, but I haven't found one similar to mine. I wasn't expecting my proof of identification to be back without a decision letter.

Hi,
I am about to make SET (LR) application but confuse about documents requirement.
If I got all passports
Do I still need sending
NI letters, letter from previous employers , Doctor letters etc?

Hi kuspecialist,
set lr requirement
1-filled set lr latest version
2-life in uk test pass certificate
3- English requirement B1 level certificate or degree from uk university
4- All passport
5- biometric card if you have been issued one
6- 2 x photograph of yourself
7- correct fees
8- photocopies of all pages of your passports with any stamp or visa
9- special delivery return envelope ( if you want your documents returned via special delivery)

if want to add any other documents like job or any connection with UK that all up to you. i think this makes sense to you.
there is thread called 10 year long residence application please post all query there so you get prompt response.
good luck

Hi Everyone,
It is my turn to share my own good news
My (very straightforward!) application has been approved after completing 6 years Discretionary Leave

Timeline
Visa was expiring 11/11/2014
15/10/14 - SET (O) Application submitted
24/10/14 - Acknowledgement Letter received dated 20/10/14
10/11/14 - Home Office returned my application because a box wasn’t ticked on the payment page. Note: Application invalidated ONE DAY before visa expiry
14/11/14 - Re-applied using SET (O) form
25/11/14 - Employer sacks me from my managerial job i had done for over 5 years because Employer Checking service told them I had no right to work. Because the second application was submitted after visa expired even though it was their fault not to have returned the application on time
26/11/14 - 2nd Acknowledgement Letter received dated 20/11/14
08/12/14 - I made a formal complaint to Home Office complaints department
08/01/15 - Home Office complaints team responds that there is nothing they can do
08/01/15 - Biometrics Enrolled
21/01/15 - I asked Home Office Complaints Team to review my original compliant again as I was not satisfied with their first response
16/02/15 - Home Office complaint department responds to my e-mail stating that a senior caseworker has agreed to expedite my application
17/02/15 - Passport and approval letter received

Waiting for BRP Card

I want to encourage those who are still waiting to keep the faith and believe that your testimony will happen soon.

I have been offered another job and I’ll be starting soon.

Thank you all for this forum especially the tracker spreadsheet () which kept me sane and hopeful.

I would be grateful if someone can please update the tracker spreadsheet with my information as I do not want to mess with it.

Thank you,

Blessed2015

that was very smart, I think I should have done the same with my set o application because every day we wait and nothing comes

I send my set o ilr case in October 17th and have not heard anything since

fingers crossed ...

but good maneuver by the way :)

I also sent special delivery envelope with our documents.. Unfortunately I lost the tracking number. But anyways, in a few days it will be exactly one year we applied for ILR and no news!??! It really angers me that there are people that do things using shortcuts and dodgy.. Funny enough they get away with it. On the other hand, there's geniune people like us that have to suffer the consequences. Ours was a straightforward case. Absolutely appalling!

Hi all,
I am writing here to enquire about my ILR application, due this year. I am on currently on Tier 1 (General) visa and also completing my 10 year residence in UK by mid August this year.
-My wife is in UK for the last ~ 1 year (as my Dependent under Tier 1 General, expiring on 15-Dec-2015), So I want to know if I go for ILR (under 10 year long route) during end of July-2015 this year, can she also submit her passport together with my application, for her Dependent visa (under my ILR application), even though her current visa as mentioned above expiring on 15-Dec2015.
I want to submit her passport as well during Jul this year along my application, so we both gets passport back together. Is it possible or does she need to wait until my ILR decision comes back?
- If she can go with above option (what Visa category/Form she will be applying for), what income threshold & savings I need to show?

Many Thanks!
Ali

Hi Mouna,

Congratulation for ILR.

your help will be much appreciated.

I did sent the recorded delivery royal mail return envelop with my application. My envelop was the special delivery bag from royal mail with tracking number. I have been advised to put my return address and stamps (At post office I have been asked, what is coming back) on that envelop. was it same for you ?

Thanks
