I am delighted to state that I have received ILR approval letters today for myself and 3 dependents within 20 working days of posting my application. Having read time frames on this forum I am amazed that it has turned out to be one of the quickest postal application and in view of that I decided to share with others that any time frame is possible. Following were my application time frame details.

New BRPS: Stated to be received within 07 days. (Will probably get them by Mon-Wed).
During whole process no emails received from HO. Good luck for all awaiting.

I applied my wife ilr as dependent in ist june its nearly 3 months now any idea how long they take time ..or any one get their visa ..I got my ilr visa in may throug tier 1 genral ...

I posted my SET(O) application (with 1 dependent) on around 27 July.

Payment taken 30 July.

Received acknowledgement of receipt (via email) on 31 July, giving case ID. No letters.

It's now 9 September and have heard nothing since!

It seems most people get asked for Biometrics a few days after taking payment and then have to wait for the decision - is it normal for there to be this delay in being asked for Biometrics?

Not getting a letter is can be of bit concern. In the email, was your address right?

It took around month when I got my biometrics. Bit I did receive the letter within 10 days.

I applied on 25/06/2015 and did my biometrics on 15/07/15. So if you count from the 25/06 it is 2.5 months and if you count from 15/07 it is 2 months and a day. One way or the other, the wait is agonising. I hope all is going smoothly on my application. I wish best of luck with your application as well. I'll post if I get any information on my post.

Case worker said she need to do some enquiries ad ask me to come on 28/08/15
I went on that day she asked some question about my extension in 08/2012

Hi all,

We applied for ILR for my wife using SET (M) via the recorded mail. I am a British citizen not so long ago (some people may remember me on this forum). Could anyone please advise on the following:
1) If anyone sent an original British Passport together with the application form, how quick will HO return it? By sending the original I hoped to get the decision quicker (I know...)
2) We applied on 21st August (4 weeks ago now) and never had anything back from HO. No acknowledgement, no biometric invitation - no nothing!!!

Any help will be valued!
