Hi Omokohinde,

I saw some posts where people visited their local MP after the 'PEO appointment further checks' delay.

Seniors, please could you advice if the 6 months has finished, would it be worth going to the local MP.

The best if you can afford and your case is straight forward is to go for the premium services.

For postal to premium service upgrade:
https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... quest-form

I requested for upgrade last week which got rejected with following reply:

"Thank you for your request for a premium upgrade to your application. After looking further at your application, unfortunately it is not eligible for an upgrade as we do not deal with this case type. Therefore your application will continue to be processed in the postal route".
Seniors any advise?

When did you apply for ILR? Did you have income from self-employment?

Applied on 24 June. Yes, my income involved self employment.
I have done tax amendments for year 2012,13 on May 2015 and paid off all the money I owed to hmrc. I have submitted all related taxamendments documents to Homeoffice with my application.

There's a clear pattern here. Applications that have amendments and income from more than one source are not straight forward for a quick process

dng_131 wrote:Dear All,

I have got my ILR visa via postal service. I sent my application in the second week of April 2016 and my approval came within the first week of July 2016 (Sorry for late reply). It took good 2 months to get the approval. My biometric letter was arrived after 5 days of application.

I had PAYE + Self Assessments. I also amended my accounts for the previous years and they were amended before I got my ILR approval.

I should say these postal applications are very random. Few my friends have applied within the same period and they still have not got their decision yet.

Please let me know if I could be helpful for anyone if its in my capacity.

Good Luck to those who have applied for your visa.
Hi dng_131,

Did you send tax amendment documents to UKVI? Did HMRC updated SA302?

Many thanks

Applied early April (05/04) for SET(O) via ancestry and received approval letter today. BRP should be here in a week. Looks like they are getting to the April applications now.

Has anyone from around a March 8 application date had any communication from UKVI yet?

Still waiting here, though starting to get a little less patient....

Waiting from 8th Feb 2016, no update from UKVI as yet, called them up this morning and still the same old response, its in progress, no timeline, no updates.

What should be the course of action as 6 months guide time have already passed by, and home office officer from the call center says, its just a guideline and not all the visas can be processed in this time frame.

Anything we can do to make them work on it?

In person is when you go into a PEO there and then if there is no problem with your application they will give you an approval but mine took only 3 days and within the next 2 days I had my BRP too so total of 5 days. Good Luck

Dependent's ILR (set o) application submitted : 14-Feb-2016
Type: Tier 1 General dependants
Successful completion letter received : 10-Aug-2016
BRP cards received on : 11-Aug-2016

We had some problem with the payment as Lloyds bank decliened the Debit card transaction when UKVI tried to take the fee. Then UKVI sent us a letter to refill the form and this time I gave a cheque. From my experience, my suggestion is to use a cheque or banker's draft than debit/credit card specially if you are Lloyd's bank customer.

Dont worry Dhillu. I am sure you will hear something soon. I think its more or less happening to all tier 1 general applicants. There are a few people in this thread and a few in the PEO thread. The wait is really painful.

My friend, I have good news to share, I have received BRP today :)

Surprising that they have sent BRP card directly without initial letter saying my application is approved.

Good luck to you and all waiting for visa!!

Thanks for your good wishes earlier.

Applied date: 19th Feb
BRP received: 18th August
