Dear Senior Members
My partner is going to apply for ILR on 2nd April 2015 with ESOL Skills for Life Entry3 obtained in May 2014. Is ESOL Skills for Life Entry 3 by Pearson Education Ltd (Not PTE, Pearson Test of English) accepted by home office? I have seen the following by pearson edexcel, Are Edexcel ESOL Speaking and Listening qualifications still recognised by the Home Office for ILR, Citizenship and passports? Last Updated: 1 year ago
Yes, Edexcel ESOL qualifications meet the English Speaking and Listening requirement of the Home Office’s Knowledge of Language and Life in the UK (KoLL) requirement for settlement and naturalisation. Details can be found in the Home Office document Changes to the Knowledge of language and life in the UK requirement for settlement and naturalisation but Edexcel ESOL qualifications are not valid for visa purposes. A list of qualifications that are can be found on the list of Secure English Language Tests (SELT) list – this includes other qualifications delivered by Pearson https://knowledgebase.edexcel.com/?p=1401
while home office says the following

We have concluded that it would not be valid on or after 6th April 2015 https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... s_v1_0.pdf but can any of the members confirm us about it as we are too confused if it would be ok to go with it on 2nd April 2015 for ILR? Thanking in advance!
