I came to UK on Student visa on 28th May 2006. Since then my visa was extended as student, Tier 4 then 2012 I got PSW. Then Tier 4 valid up to 18th April 2016.
I was short of 11+ 28 days to complete 10 years. (28 May 2016)
I have one dependent.
I have applied for FLR (O) with my (one) dependent on 15th April 2016 via Royal Mail Special Delivery.
I varied my application FLR (O) to SET (LR) on 3rd MAY. 2016 Via Royal mail Special Delivery
Dependent application, FLR (O) to FLR (M) on 3rd MAY 2016 Via Royal mail Special Delivery
I have paid full fee for FLR (O) as well as SET (LR)
Dependent paid full fee for FLR (O) and for FLR (M) requested to transfer the fee to FLR (M) application coz there wasn’t any difference in the fee.

My application Timeline:

Application made FLR (O) 15th April 2016
Acknowledgement letter received for FLR (O) Applications 12th May 2016
Biometric Enrolment Letter: Not received

Varied Application FLR (O) to SET (LR) 3rd MAY 2016 Via Special Delivery
Application Received on 4th May 2016.
Fee deducted on 5th May 2016 (Debit Card)
Acknowledgement Letter: Not Received
Biometric Enrolment Letter: Not received

Varied Application FLR (O) to FLR (M) 3rd MAY 2016. Via Special Delivery
Application Received on 4th May 2016.
Acknowledgement Letter: Received dated 6th MAY 2016.
Biometric Enrolment Letter: Received dated 12th May 2016
Biometric Done: 31st MAY.

Now I am wondering why UKVI didn’t send me acknowledge letter and biometric letter for SET (LR), While FLR (M) application got response quickly.

Dear forum members please share your opinions and experience.
I will be waiting for your kind response.

Hi all,

I need some help.

I am inquiring about my lawful 10 year continuous residence.

I applied T4 General student extension on 30/09/2014, and this is in time application. But refused on 02/11/2014. After I got the refuse letter, I reapplied it within 7 days and got my new visa.

Is my lawful stay continuous?

Hi all,

I have been reading the posts and stories and have some questions regarding my own SET(LR) ILR application.

I have completed by 10 years of legal residence last week, meet KoLL requirements and am preparing my postal application. I am confused whether I need to declare any tax or marriage related information for my application which I think should be straightforward?

My immigration history:
  • Aug 2006 - Oct 2009 on student visa (entry clearance)
Oct 2009 - Feb 2010 student visa extension
Feb 2010 PSW issued until 2012
In June 2011 switched to Tier 2 Gen
In June 2014 changed employment and switched the Tier 2 Gen
Unemployed Jan - Mar 2016 but no curtailment to Tier 2 received
In Feb 2016 went on to Spouse SET(M) FLR valid until 2018 as married my British citizen wife
So apart from the application form, 2 pictures, current and old passport, KoLL (UK university degree and Life in UK pass certificate) do I need to send any additional documents? Can there by any complication based on employment/taxes etc? I was always a PAYE employee.

Thanks!

"We do not have any appointments in the next 42 days at your selected location."
Just out of curiosity tried different location i.e. Cardiff, Liverpool..... But same message

is there a problem or premium service stopped for Set(lr) ?

@ Mikal
Very sorry for lat reply as i been stuck in other issues.
I had very good experience in Glasgow. I had an appointment at 12:30 but i reached at 12 and after security check i went on desk. He gave me one form (self assessment) to fill up. The list of documents i submitted were:
1- Application form
2- printout of payment £2375
3- Photographs 2
4- life in the UK test
5- UK degree
6- Previous passports
7- biometric residence permit
He said me that i will wait for Finger print which took an hour. From 1 pm till half pass 3 i just wait then i was called to the desk. Case worker told me that they will do further check which can takes upto 2 weeks. But this monday 5th in morning i got call from same case worker and she told me that its approved and will take 10 days to receive the documents and residence permit card etc. But yesterday i received confirmation via letter and back all supporting documents and still waiting for residence permit which may take more few days.

To be honest before applying i was much worried because heard that they asked for further documents and do interview etc. My personal experience was totally different. Even my accounts were not fully ready. Didnt apply for self assessment on HMRC, even no employee.
Good luck for all
