Recent Changes Regarding ILR Dependant visa

Post by m.asif » Thu Apr 17, 2014 3:42 pm

Hi Everyone

I am currently on TIER 1 (General) visa and I can apply for ILR in August 2015 on the basis of Tier 1. However I can apply for ILR as early as next month on the basis of long residence. My wife joined me in December 2009 as dependent of Tier1 (PSW) since then she is in UK.

My question is about my wife's visa. Based on new laws effective from 06 April which route will be best for me to get my wife's ILR quickly.

Thank you in advance.

Hello,

If you apply on ILR based on TIER 1 then your wife will get ILR with you. If you apply on long residency then your wife have to wait another five years.
