hi sajid
dont worry about supporting documents. just give them if they ask, don't show them in mine case he has seen it, you should take with you but give them on demand. that's not the requirement of long term residence I think so. senior member can advise you better on this

Hi J20
Many congrts. I also brought many supporting documents with me. He asked me same question "if i want to submit with my application?" I said NO and told him to right a note that i have and if need then ask from me.
In my personal view no need to submit any extra document so no extra questions.
Anyways again congrtulations and good luck for future.

Hello

I have been a silent reader on this site, and have picked very useful bits of information which I had used in my application/appointment today at Croydon.

I was applying for ILR via 5-year T2G. I was with one employer throughout my 5 years.

We were 3 of us - applicant + 2 dependants.
I arrived 20 minutes before appointment, were allowed to registration on level 3, then onto passport details entry, followed by biometric. All this took 30 minutes in all. I was then called 2 hours later to collect my approval letter. I was not asked a single question after my biometric was done.

These were the documents I had taken
- A cover letter
- Visa appointment letter
- Cohabitation - joint bank statement, joint rental agreement, joint house purchase doc, joint mortgage, joint council tax, driving licence
- Employer letter (had no mention of SOC code etc) with salary details, annual leave entitlement
- Salary slips 12 months, plus salary slips for months annual vacation taken to home country (not sure if this was all used though)
- Marriage certificate (again, not sure if this was used)
- Relevant passports (6 in all) and all photocopies
- UK NARIC for self + B1 Pass certificate for spouse
- Life in the UK pass certificates 2

I had arranged all originals in one file, grouped by employer letter/salary/3 months' bank statements, cohabitation and NARIC/B1/LITUK. Copies were in another bunch as above.

Hope this is useful. And thank you once again to all members who have posted here.

Congrats :D ..there are hardly any post of Tier 1 Entrepreneur success stories....My circumstances are very much like yours...I am going Cryodon soon for my PEO.... so great morale booster, thank you for posting your experience. Couple of quick questions. Did they give you any form to fill in ?did you give them latest tax return/accounts or all of them since incorporation? Cheers!!

Hi Sandy_06,

first congratulations on your ILR. Its quite rare for self employed applicants to secure ILR through PEO.
Based on your older posts, it seems you had a absence of around 50 days .
1. Did you submit any covering letter?
2. What reason you mentioned for that absence.
3.Also i believe, you did a amendment for your previous year. Did everything went okay wrt it. Any concerns/questions raised by the caseworker?

1) No i did not submit a covering letter
2) Business + Family visits - i had the employer letter with me in case if needed
3) I did not have an amendment for the self employment income, which did the trick... my income from employment was validated with the employment history which i submitted.

thanks to all in the forum who replied and contributed... i did take plenty of proof to ensure i can answer any question which is correct.

Hi everyone, I got my ILR (10 years long residence) today at PEO Croydon. My history is straightforward so I was confident of no issues. Thanks for all the info on this site.

I will now apply for Citizenship next week via NCS as married to a British citizen.

Details:

1. Category. SET(LR)
2. Number of dependents. None
3. Total cost. £2375 aka daylight robbery!
4. PEO branch. Croydon
5. Documents provided.
All originals only:
a) Passports (old + current)
b) 2x pictures
c) Form
d) Checklist/online payment sheet
e) Life in UK pass letter
f) Masters degree certificate
g) Days out of UK excel calculation sheet
6. Absences more than 180 days in any of the qualifying years. No
7. Any Additional Comments.
Major roadworks in front of PEO so pedestrian crossings are far away as subway closed and traffic can clog up. Bear in mind if driving there. My appointment was at 9.20 but I only reached at 9.30 which wasn't an issue. As soon as I went to reception at 9.40ish I was called for case registration and then immediately for biometrics i.e. by 10am I was waiting for case outcome! It took a while and got my decision at 12.15pm. No questions were asked of me at any point.
