Tier-2 (general ) to ILR

Post by jay253 » Mon Sep 29, 2014 2:44 pm

If you are on tier 2 (general) for 5 year and if your salary is more than 35k in order to apply for ILR does the job have to be in shortage occupation/Phd or as far as you earn more than 35k it doesnt matter?

Thanks

No, it might be a good idea to produce a letter from your employer/sponsor to confirm your employment details.

Hi,

Your employer just need to confirm the following
1) they wish to continue your employement
2) your relevant SOC code
3) confirmation that you are paid above that rate.

For example- my SOC code is 2421 which states a £24k annual salary based on 39 hours per week. My salary was above that so the employer just confirmed it.

I came in Oct-14 on Tier 2 (General) and applied for ILD 2 weeks back using 28 day rule.

Sorry I came in Oct-2009. :)
I think my situation might be different as I never heard about the shortage occupancy thing.
