Re: 2014 Citizenship Approvals

Post by ninjaman » Thu Jun 26, 2014 9:51 pm

guys,
I have also received a letter, but they are asking me for 3 proof of address in the last 3 months for me and my wife (again) and a copy of my visa (again).I am applying from northern ireland (non EEA) and my wife is irish with irish passport.

my application is in the 2nd stage and I didnt expect them to ask for these documents again.

What worries me is that I have a UK residence card which expired earlier this year. do you think they will turn me down because of expired UK residence card? According to UK law I am legally allowed to be in the uk without the need of having the residence card as long as i am married to an EEA member citizen. I have been here for more than 5 years and I am entitled to apply for uk permanent residence but havent done so.

I am thinking of attaching a copy of uk immigration website which explains the above and maybe write a short letter explaining that Iam legally allowed to live in the UK.

Iam so worried..so,

1.) shall i attach a copy and a letter to explain?
2.) is there any likeyhood of being turned down because of expired Residence card even though am legally allowed to be here?

any advice will help

here is the link to the site: https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-a-uk-resid ... d/overview

Hey, to me it sounds like the reason why they are not approving you is because of fraudulent activity on your side, especially when it comes to insurance and it’s the same reason twice.

The second offence can be technically classified as fraud.

I honestly doubt you will get approved any time soon. Don’t waste your money on applying again. Insurance in Ireland is a pretty big deal and not something I would ever mess with myself.

Sorry to be so blunt...but I'd say you will get a refusal every time you apply.

Fraud ?

My understanding is, he had insurance however the insurance disc was not displayed and hence he was fined. where did fraud come from ?

hi guys, take this one
on Dec, last year the application i had paid on 2010 was refused "committing an offence in the same year of applying " that was traffic offences and all was fines and were paid and they said apply again and we will consider that next time.
few weeks ago I went to the garda station to check my status I am not driving since 2010 so that means I am bang on.
here you go ..... a wiled garda came to me after seeing my name telling me she found four court sentences and they are all fines and she won't let me go even to my house ONLY TO THE ATM MACHINE to pay €1050 on spot or to take me to jail so ruff so harsh as if i murdered someone but the fact it was illegal parking expired parking tickets and were sent to my previous address she let me do nothing "TO PAY NOW OR I TAKE YOU TO JAIL" to be honest that was shocking and i had no money in my account to cover as well my phone was home that time and she was totally BI*CH and took me to serve 6 days in jail so i went to jail but there was no place for me there it was full so after 3 hours in jail was sent home. BELIEVE OR NOT BELIEVE

"2009 district court have insurance but not on the car i was driving find €400 no endorsement no penalty point"

- to me that means something else. Each person reads it and understands it a different way. I wouldnt be driving a car i have no insurance for. Its like me driving a 3.0 L friends car but only being insured for a 1.0 L which is home parked in the drive way ( but hey I have insurance )

Please dont take this as rudness or anything along those lines...this is my opinion! Maybe fraud is a strong word.

People! the minimum insurance cover in Ireland should be third party, theft and fire, third party means the insurance company repairs the other person's car and not the insured car... so without insurance that means the driver could destroy properties of others without fixing them and that is a crime. it has nothing to do with how big is the car or litres, thats the tax disc.

Regarding the litres it’s an example. Read that as an example please. :D

Just to clarify when you get insurance you get insurance for one and only one car not multiple cars, unless you stipulate otherwise - and that’s extra!!! And the level of cover also is different from third party etc to comprehensive and yes it is depending on the size of the car (litre wise) that increases in price also.

I have plenty of experience when it comes to insurance. I deal with it every day of my life. :)

the fire and theft is depending on litres coz it depends on the value of the car, but driving a car without insurance has nothing to do with litres when it comes to law and the minimum insurance cover required. talking about this is meaningless really and the man said its been a long time, so he should definitely go to a solicitor and take the matter to court. many already-irish people make worse! so i dont see they should be so harsh on "character"...

I never said it does, once again please take that as an example.

This is off topic at this stage.

Yana I've been reading this post and you've came across as quite cocky and arrogant really. You said you have plenty of experience when it comes to insurance and have give examples with litres etc, but Yana it sounds like you have little experience.

Depending on the insurance cover, a person with an insurance cover can drive another vehicle i.e friends, family etc without breaking the law of anykind. Like I said it depends on the insurance cover and its 100% possible and legal. I know this may not be the case with the OP or he may have failed to inquire about his insurance cover before driving someones vehicle.

You are being 'blunt' with the OP and thats fine, but advice is much more better than being blunt.

Any details that you give impact your premium when it comes to insurance! if you want to drive another car you need to stipulate this when you take out your insurance, you CAN'T just drive another car without mentioning this to your insurance company ( last time I checked it was € 25.00 + (other charges model of car, capacy (litres) to change/transfer insurance to other cars, if you do this after actually taking out the insurance).

If you have open cover its because you have said yes when asked by the insurance agent while you got a quote. And open cover differes between insurance companies - and some dont give open cover to people below a certian age.

Anyway my experience my opinion. I did not mean to be blunt and I did say that. I don’t mean to be rude either. I think I mentioned this also. So I do apologise if it came across as blunt/rude.

@ IntegratedMigrant - I am not looking for you to agree to anything I say. I know I am right!

To go back to the original post and not go off topic - OP I would approach a solicitor and see what he/she says. I wish you all the best and I do hope you get the citizenship.

Well you are just repeating what I just said to you. Try and read carefully next time. Having said that you're half right again so stop claiming to know it all when you have little knowledge of insurance policy. Although some people might not know it, they could drive another vehicle legally without stipulating it as you said. Take Aviva for eg. A 27+ old B-licence older, with years of experience and full licence holder can drive other B-vehicle automatically without the policy holder even knowing it. Its just the policy of Aviva as long as you meet certain requirements!. You do not need to stipulate in some cases!. You dont know all insurance policies so take a lesson and stop arguing.

Glad you're finally realising how rude you sounded. This forum isnt a place to judge people but to give them advice.

beloved is the belief that there are inherent differences in people's traits and capacities that are entirely due to their race, however defined, and that, as a consequence, justify the different treatment of those people, both socially and legally.
