Re: 2014 Citizenship Approvals

Post by mrciti » Sat Sep 06, 2014 12:44 pm

Hi all , I got my letter of intent for citizenship in July 26 and send document in 24 August 2014. A week later I did not hear from inis and had to emailed them. They response saying the received my correspondence and will invite me for a future ceremony and date not confirm yet. I know the next ceremony is on the 22 September 2014 which I wonder if I will be included. I have a ticket that cost me a fotune for holidays and all GNIB with INIS.Anyone with any suggestion. Thanks

Waoh! U waited too long perhaps to send them ur payment. They replied to ur email that u'll be invited to future ceremony in which the date has not been set yet.Its quite obvious from their email that u won't be in the September ceremony. Their might be another ceremony in November, quiet high possibility. U've got to look forward to that.

Thanks for the soft words.i will lost my ticket. Immidiately anyone get infos about next ceremony after 22 September2014 please let me know. Inis is not fair u get citizen and you have to wait for ages to get the naturalisation CERT. It is like waiting for a decision to revoke a death penalty. Can I travel out of the country withoutk my GNIB with INIS?

I have been able to. So far, I have mostly been able to just explain that I have been approved but don't have my cert yet. Once I was asked to show the actual approval letter (or a copy thereof), so I always travel with a copy of the letter and my GNIB card.

only re-entry visa needed to enter. they do not know what GNIB card unless you hand it to them! and they never ask for it (been traveling for over 5 years at least 3 times a month).. only passport officer will ask you for GNIB card to confirm your details on passport at arrival.. they always ask me for it, and I never been questioned as i always hold it (once i kept it in my wallet - and the passport control asked me to show it.. they glance it, and give it to you)

if you have the letter with you (intent to give you cert or a letter of invitation to ceremony) then you can travel with it. this was an answer from nationalisation office

Hi guys, I am new to this forum, I applied for Citizenship in early June this year. can Someone help me! I have gotten my second stage letter since on the 23rd of July this year. I called the Citizenship help line last week Tuesday and ask them for an update for my application, The lady asked me where is my address? and I told her my address. She looked at the system and she replied me that they are actually deciding on my file at the moment! does any one know how long it could take for me to hear from them? I also got a ticket for not wearing seat belt last week although, I have payed the ticket without going to court. would this come up on my application at this stage? Although I am using a solicitor. Can some please give me a genuine answer thanks. thanks guys.

"Ticket and decision" I do not think if you paid the money already and did not have to go to court. When I applied I had same issue for not displaying my tax disc on the car. I was fine 60 quit which I paid immediately. I got a positive reply and I m waiting for invite to swear. I will definitely miss the one on the 22 of September 2014 bc I paid in late August. Any idea when is the next swear in after 22 September.? My advice to you is to stay out of trouble. With this things can change even at the last minute before younswear in. I dnt think it willntake long from now. I hear in a fouth night they will start sending letter of approve. Fingers cross you willmbe next. Wish everyone luck.
