@banana, the court order was for seat belt & drink driving in 2008, which I paid the fine, so I don't know

drink driving is a serous one (more the seat built as it harms ppl not only you).. the submission has defo happened, but the decision is something I dont know how long gonna take from minister to sign.. everytime ppl get approvals here, send an email to INIS asking them what happened.. this way you keep your application live

Hi Guys, I called the INIS today after I have received acknowledgement 2 weeks ago for the documents the Submission Department requested for. The lady said to me that a corespondent has been sent to my solicitor today that I should contact him. she did not give details of the content. I am just wondering what could this letter be? although my solicitor told me 2 weeks ago that the acknowledgement letter was good, now there is another letter sent out today. Can they possibly ask for more document after acknowledging the once i already sent 3 weeks ago? Pls guys share experience thanks.....

Hi All,

Application Basis: Spouse of Irish Citizen
Application Date: 08th August 2014
1st Acknowledgment Date: 22th August 2014

I received a letter on 13th September asking to submit one more proof of address. On the same letter it is stated that “If further documentation of any matter related to your application is required from you, we will write to you requesting it. Otherwise you will receive a letter in due course informing you of the Minister’s decision on your application”.
Does it mean I am not going to receive 2nd acknowledge letter? I will straight receive approval letter.
I did not receive 2nd acknowledge letter till date.
I would be glad if someone replies me having similar situation.

Thanks

Yes from my personal experience I was sent an acknowledgement letter after request for
further document. As they may need to send it in for verification before a decision is made

@evajohnson. It seems you dint get my writing, Inis has already sent an acknowledgement letter 2 weeks ago. I think it depends on what stage you were. Because I am already in Submission stage, and also I have already received an acknowledgment letter 2 weeks ago that they have received my court order which my solicitor sent. The Inis don't really have that time to keep sending acknowledgement letter in stage by stage. Well we see.

@dar
I was saying it earlier that things are extemely slow now.... only the real fortunate ones are getting letters.... otherwise its back to the same old stuff of waiting for unlimited time of period.... I am waiting for my letter since 1 1/2 months since I sent the last response to them....
Don`t know what to say..... best of luck to all

As far as I know, as per my experience, it means that your application is still being processed. They have not yet finished their checks (like Garda, Revenue etc whatever they do). Once such checks are complete they will send your file/case to minister for decision.

Ur application is intentionally being delayed.They won't ask u for any future documentations,try and focus ur mind on something else Pls,this thing can eat u up.Take my word for it,block it out in ur mind,I know it's hard but it's doable.

@Janet0001,

Many thanks for your prompt response. You might be right though as it's same as my thoughts too. But it still beggars belief why anyone would want to deliberately sit on (delay) the approval of my application. Since arriving and residing in the state, I've been an embodiment of GOOD CHARACTER and every other thing that is positive to the system. Anyway, I'll keep it going and remain positive as ever with my dignity intact!
