If u guys go back to one of my previous post,I said I had a cordial discussion with one of the immigration official at the last ceremony and she said applications aren't as much as b4 since clearing all the back logs and they may be shortening ceremony or wait some months to have enough approvals as b4 and that the next ceremony would be towards the end of November. The Cork ceremony would be for those living within the area and sub-urbs. The next dublin ceremony would definitely be in January. I know how hard it is to wait for the the ceremony,in time to get hold of that shining european gateway passport,but guys,one shall get there sooner or later. I'm currently on holiday in Milan,it felt so good flying on the EU passport,the wait and pain would surely worth it in the end.

are you sure there is ceremony in cork ? anybody receive invitation dated of 24 November 2014 in cork ? and I do not think peoples who lives in south of our great republic of Ireland go to cork ceremony everybody has to go to dublin so please make sure the information accurate

I know may be its too early to ask this. I submitted my application on the 10th of this November and got the first letter where I see my reference number on the 12th. I am wondering when will hopefully I will be receving the 2nd stage letter? if all goes well is there any chance i will get the approval before jan 2015?

@Fayzal from experience here it takes about 1 month to get 2ng stage letter.. So if you got confirmation 12th of October, your 2nd stage letter would probably arrive mid-November.
Approval can take anything from 2 months+ after 2nd stage letter..

10th of November?
I don't you would have approval before january. It doesn't normally get processed that quickly.

@Rio which part of "it's been published officially on INIS website" did u not understand? What gives u the authority to tell people to only post approval and not get philosophical? Better to ask for link to any information posted here if u're not up to date,rather than getting all emotional about it.

assuming non of boardie members here is invited on Nov.. based on calculations, no approvals 2 weeks before the ceremony and 1 week after it? right? that leaves approvals in Dec/jan? eh, its getting stretched!!

Is the citizenship ceremony for people living in Cork or it is all across Ireland. I cant understand this. On one inis website they is no infos about citizenship and in another there is information. It is confusing.

@mrciti
I cannot authenticate if this is only for the locals or for all.. however, who so ever have heard or attended such ceremonies might know about whats it all about......

it is for everyone approved across Ireland. it's just a small number so they are just saving money and using a hall in somewhere cheaper.

Congrats mrciti we are all v happy for u.. Uk do not recognise approval letters, u still need passport.. I asked immigration officer in dublin and they said approval letter is very well recognised when coming back without gnib card..

Could you please ask the inis guys on ceremony day about the next one and how applications are progressing? We are anxious to get it soon

Lots of idiots in uk border control so highly likely they cause you hassle... You better check with airline first as these ppl are the gate keepers who cause the initial hassle

if you are lucky, you won't find passport control due to the common travel area but basically you cannot travel with a certificate of naturalisation, the european union free movement is based on your EU Irish Passport.
