2014 Citizenship Approvals

Hi everyone,
It's 2014, last ceremony was conducted on 20th January 2014.
I got my approval this morning, thank God.
Applied: 6th February 2013
2nd stage 1week from that date
Further documents requested: 16th September 2013
Posted 1st week October
Final stage: November
Approval 24th January 2014
Ceremony ? Yet to be confirmed.

Question, I am travelling in March till 1st of April, should I submit my Gnib card? And will I be included in the next ceremony?

@ mred1 Many many Congratulations!!!

If you have a re-entry visa on your passport, You can submit your GNIB card and that will make sure that you would be included in the next ceremony, I guess, the next ceremony would be around end or March / start of April...make sure you are around while ceremony take place....

If you are travelling keep the citizenship approval letter with you and you can show that to the immigration officer on the port of entry if requested...

Hi mured1 its look like you are the only one who get approval in 2014 I just wandering usely the send many latter together no one else post here do u know any one also get there approval in 2014. I am still waiting since 2011 .

Only a few people from the forum are awaiting their approval. I think you will get yours this week, wait till Friday....also, I think we got to stage 3 around nov. Like myself...so don't worry, it ll arrive.

I'm waiting but not really expecting anything in this round of approvals - applied Aug 2013, moved to stage 2 start of Oct 2013.

I applied 21st October as spouse of Irish national ....no 2nd stage letter yet....the wait is killing me. Time is moving oh so slowly

update from 2013 posts, i got the approval this morning.
Application Basis: 5 years residency (stamp 1 and 4, green card)
Application Date: 09th Oct 2013
1st Acknowledgment Date:23rd October 2013 (said application not full examined yet.)
2nd Acknowledgment Date: 20th November 2013
Letter of approval Date: 29/01/2014
Documents submitted Date: 30/01/2014
Invitation letter Date:
Ceremony Date:

thanks for that. i will send the required docs and payment yesterday and start waiting for the ceremony. i guess next ceremony will be sometime around late March or April, as the last one was 10 days ago.

I sent my brothers application for him early October 2013, he also got
His approval today....it took 3months and 2weeks! Based on 5 years residency! Fastest application
I have come across....
So happy for everyone! Can someone guess when the ceremony will be?

Wow 3 months is something exceptional. I believe/assume next ceremony would be second week of March(keep fingers crossed)

yeah it was a lot quicker than i expected. i checked the ceremony dates in 2013, and it seemed that there was one in second week of March. So presume they will organize a ceremony in March then.

The one that was in March 2013 was 27th March, so it's end of March not second week of March

Little passion is required....lol

whatever it is, i am ok with March as long as it is not in the first week!

Don't confuse ur self with the return address like CGP14-1, the return address is different for different batch of applications, When i got my approval, i was the same confused like u

Just send them the fee. GNIB card and pics with the copy of ur approval letter so they would know who have sent it, or may be a small cover letter with your application reference number will be enough.

i just sent the copy of original letter yesterday, as @CalvinKlien said, along with the required docs.
I will forget about that until i get the invitation.
i am happy that they have reduced the processing time!

Congratulation to those who got their approval.

I emailed the citizenship division yesterday and I got replay today that my application is at an advanced stage of processing and I will be informed of the Minister's decision as expeditiously as possible! I applied n July 2013.

Can anyone tell me I if they still sending the approval letters or they done with this batch and approval letters will be send again after the next coming ceremony!?
