I reckon we will only see approvals from May onwards (both 2014 and 2015 applicants).

By looking at previous year, there will probably be a ceremony in July anyways.

Did the letter come from the INIS or the RSA?

When was your application lodged?

Q. What does "good character" mean?
A. Good character means that you show respect for the laws of the State. In this regard vetting and background checks will be conducted. This will involve enquiries with An Garda Síochána and enquiries may also be made with other agencies.
You must give details of all criminal convictions both within and outside the State in the relevant section of the application form, including road traffic offences. You must provide details of any offences for which you have been arrested but have not been formally charged. Please note that if you are arrested or charged with an offence after you have made your application you must inform the citizenship section of it.

So what i am afraid from is that the letter comes in my name and when will pay and declare that it was my wife not me my name is cleared but how long will take them to move it to wife name and will i need to inform the citizenship about that not me or just ignore that

Guys any idea when am likely to get approval? I applied in June 2014. Inis wrote to my solicitor in January that they don't need anymore document from me that my file will then be forwarded to the minister ASAP, that was in January this year. Guys any idea ?

I am working at the moment, but in 2010 i lost my job and i claimed jobseeker benift for 9 months then i was back to work,
But back to my conviction, the caseworker or the minister should realise the fact that i was not given any choice between a fine or a court appearance, so i had to apper before court to finalise the matter, so a court conviction should not necessarily means a no no, they should see the nature of offence in my opinion.

darr i think you had recent conviction and job seeker with in last three year when you applied thats the problem
thats is why there is a question if you claim any social payment in past 3 years so you applied in 2014 they will have to give you but once those three year has passsed i guess
but dont quote me mate
did they ever ask you any documents darr since you applied last year

i have emailed the citizenship section about my application and to inform them about the speeding ticket i got as a registered owner and they email me back this
Your application is currently being processed with a view to establishing
whether it meets the statutory conditions for the granting of
naturalisation, such as good character and lawful residence, and will be
submitted to the Minister for decision as expeditiously as possible.

It is recognised that all applicants for citizenship would wish to have a
decision on their application without delay.

As well as being a significant event in the life of the recipient, the
granting of Irish citizenship through naturalisation as provided for in law
is also a major step for the State which confers certain rights and
entitlements not only within the State but also at European Union level and
it is important that appropriate procedures are in place to preserve the
integrity of the process.

Regards

Tony Greene
Citizenship Section
i think it is an automatic reply bcs i seen someone posted it before
