Adult caution

Hi

I have one question.
Adult caution has been given to my cusine one year ago.
This year he wants to apply for irish passport.
He was told in garda station that it does not make any influence on applying for irish citizenship.
Did anybody go through this and what is your opinion?

Hi Zaza7625,
Adult cautions are not disclosed in Garda Vetting Reports and Police Certificates. So that may not cause any problem in applying for Irish Citizenship. However you may have to disclose it in the application form for Irish Naturalization. False information in the application form can cause you a problem.
If your cousin is not 100% sure or satisfied, please contact any solicitor to file your application.
