Applicant Notification?

Post by nblaze » Mon Sep 15, 2014 10:00 pm

Just out of curiosity, how is the work permit applicant notified whether the application is approved or rejected? Obviously I know if it's successful the permit will be sent the address specified, but is that the only way or knowing, or do they e-mail you? Notify your employer (They applied) beforehand? Thanks!

sent to the employer by post usually, who will forward your copy to you (they are 2 copies, one for you and one for employer). your copy has the dept of labour cert contain your dates, salary, photo, and an attached letter that they are happy for you! your employer will hand it to you once you are in the office.. a copy of it is enough to fill the application for visa entry to Ireland (note: you are supposed to be outside the country while processing it, otherwise if caught, the GNIB guys wont make your life easy!)
I'm officially diagnosed with INIS "processing" phobia
