Citizenship application need help

Dear members

I m going to apply for citizenship in few months.
My question is I was out of this country all most
6 and half weeks due to my father illness in 6 January 2011
And father passed away in 22 feb 2011 and I m return 12 March.

What should I do in my passport application .

Any suggestions most appriciate .

Just tell them about it and explain why.

It is a very valid reason for being away, I don't think it will affect you application.

There is nothing need to tell if u away for 6 week in 2011 if u have last only need last years before u apply that's all .

Last 5 years history if out this state for more then 6 weeks ?

Yes you have to give DOJ explanation of your stay outside Ireland more than 6 weeks (per year) in the past 5 years.

Hi I have another question can I go holiday for 4 weeks before my application ?
Last year I came back from holiday in 3 feb that was for 4 weeks. I due to apply in July
