My application time line is as follows:

Application : June 2012 (5 years residency stamp1 and stamp4)
1st Acknowledgment: July 2012
2nd Acknowledgment: TBC
Letter of approval: TBC
Documents submitted: TBC
Invitation letter : TBC
Ceremony: TBC

In July 2012 the acknowledgement letter indicated that I passed the 1st stage of processing and moved to the 2nd stage.

In February 2013 I emailed Citizenship Info (citizenshipinfo@justice.ie) for a status update and received the following response;

Your application is currently being processed & will be submitted to the Minister for decision as expeditiously as possible. It is not possible to give an exact timeframe.

I`m an EU national, in IE for 9+ years, I`ve been married to an Irish citizen for 6 years, I've Irish kids, have always been in employment - never taken the job seekers allowance

Here is my timeline:

Applied: end of Dec 2011 based on marriage (stupidly - only because it meant less bills to send in!)
Got 1st confirmation letter on the 31 Dec 2011
Got 2nd confirmation letter in mid-June 2012
Emailed the Ministry in mid-Feb - I was told I`d be advised of the Minister's decision as expeditiously as possible
1 Mar 2013 - got my approval letter (no ceremony date confirmed)

Super delighted that the wait is over!
Good luck everyone!

Applied mid-May 2012
1st acknowledgement: June 2012 - reference number - proceed to 2nd stage
2nd notice: Nov 2012 - further processing (queried by post)
3rd notice: Jan 2013 - further processing (queried by post)
4th notice : 1 March 2013 - APPROVAL LETTER - asking for Garda card, payment etc.
No ceremony yet.

Applied stamp 1 and then stamp 4 all the way - 5 years.
with one Irish child.

About more or less 9 months.

Myself:
Applied December 2012 - 5 year stamp 3 & 4.
1st acknowledgement: January 2013 - reference number - proceed to 2nd stage
No further notice so far, I will be following up extensively around July 2013.

We praise God for the good news!

My god today finally got the letter. After 1 year of torture. Full story here:
http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewto ... 684#712684

Applied: Early-mid March of 2012 based on staying in ireland for more than 5yrs (moved here with family, did my degree etc). Never take any social welfare.
Got confirmation letter 2weeks later.
Asked for multiple times of help from TD and local politician and countless back and forth emails to the citizenship department between march and december 2012.
1 March got my approval letter (no ceremony date confirmed).

My hell has been ended. Thank god.

Thank God I'v got letter today. Woo Hoo!

Post by laulipau » Fri Mar 01, 2013 4:09 pm

Hi guys

Sent an application based on 5 years residency on March 2012.
I got letter today. I wasn't expecting at all. I'm so HAPPY! :D 8) :D
I already sent money, 2 nice pics and GNBI card.
I went to INS at the quays and I was told just take it easy now. Next Party will be held in two to 3 months...can't wait to be there.
Married to EU national
Here since 2005, always worked, never on social.
My visa ends on April 2013 and I was told don't worry because the letter covers everything. But don't travel because too much to explain to immigration officers when back to Ireland
Today the world is a better world, at least to me.
Congratulation to all !!!!!
