I was not asked for any doc b4 approval. Anyone in the same boat??? It seems that Irish spouse applications are having a very slow progress
Now this exactly what annoyed me the most how some applicants get approvals so early, I guess the INIS is trying to show they are up to the 6 month mark. Yep, The INIS mentioned before that they would speed up the applications of Irish spouses. How long where you married before you applied? Have you ever been in employment or out of it? What about your partner?
Are you still together? The information will help
and when sent my application to the INIS i had been married for three years and couple of months. Why would you apply on basis of 5 years when you are married to an Irish national? You have more chances of your application being successful if your application is based on marriage to an Irish national as the minister can waive more requirements needed to apply for naturalisationblessed_sinner wrote:Hi Moukti,

There are lots of empty promises from INIS. I was told on the valid application letter that I will hear back from the them in 6 months time. I'm still happily live together with my wife
I have in and out of employment but most of them were occasional jobs. So the INIS has some of employment records even-though I had only made small tax contributions to the state.
We'll see, I hope we will hear a good news early next year! Fingers crossed
.[/quote]Fair enough. Your wife must be a good one encouraging you to apply for citizenship!. As far as I am concern many Irish women that are married to Non EUs are not very happy when it comes to naturalisation. So many bad reasons for you not to apply come into their mindblessed_sinner wrote:
I was suppose to apply for my naturalisation in 2008 on basis of 5 years but I never bothered. I got married in Nov 2010 and my wife talked me into applying for citizenship but we were not married for over 3 years so I had to apply on basis of 5 years but I did mention on my application that I am married to Irish national as well.
