Hello all the good people :)

i have a question from a good friend (NON EU Citizen)

he has been living in Ireland for couple of years now.. first student and now he is undocumented because he couldnt get his student visa extension

he has a son with his girlfriend and baby is 1 year old and is EU national,

is there anyway if this friend can get stamp4/4eufam on this ground?

Unless the child is Irish, I don't think that will help.

You may be able to get a residence of some sort based on the Chen case, but you will be required to have medical insurance for you and your EU child and enough resources to take care of both of you.
Read the Chen Case law, google it and take your time study it, after which you may need to get and experienced immigration lawyer, not just any lawyer on the street.
You will be fine but it will take a little time. That's all I can help you with.
Good luck
