EU1 5-Year Response, Anyone?

Post by nahmed » Mon Sep 21, 2015 11:04 am

Hi guys,

Any of you who applied using EU1 from January 2015 onwards received your 5-year reply? If yes, please confirm date of application and reply.

Also, those who haven't received their reply yet, please also update with your date of application.

Ours was as follows:

Application received at EUTR : 10/03/2015
Initial 7 months stamp letter and originals back: 16/03/2015 (The letter was dated 11 March 2015)
Six-month deadline up on : 09/09/2015
Employer Contacted: Not yet.
5-Year response issued: Not yet

I would request you guys to update this thread so that we could get an idea of the current delays, etc. They gave 7 months temp 4 at the time. I am hoping the response would be issued before the temp runs out.

Thanks in advance guys

Hi robsters,

There are no guarantees offcourse even after the FP, however, it does mean you got a very positive case I think. The centre of life rubbish has been placed to deter us from definite to possible SS success. Hopefully, you got that part covered.

Previously, before the new forms came into place, if you have had a successful FP, u didnt need to send in the docs again and also didnt need to fill in a lot of the form which was mandatory on all apps without the FP, so the successful FP on its own would mean a successful RC. However, now with the new forms, the whole book needs to filled and all the docs need re-attaching so a bit more painful than it was before. I am not too sure if there are any instances of people being refused even after a successful FP.

All the best.

Yes hopefully,

My lawyer checked with them today, they saying very busy and a decision should go out next week. Hopefully we will have it in our hands few days before the 10th of Oct so we can apply for the card before the temp stamp expires.

Also, be wary, they have put on different days at Garda Dublin office for the card if you happen to live in dublin. Mon-Tue new 1st time registration and wed-friday for renewals. I think we will fall in the wed-friday window.

Good luck!

It again can take up to 6 months from application in UK. I have seen couple of people i know who got theirs back in 2 months. I guess having a family permit from before does help. Do u plan yo get an FP before u return?
Also, Is yours a spouse case?

Boss,

U want to use SS route for extended family members? Have you done your research on it? From the last time I read up on it, UK doesnt acknowledge SS for EFMs. Even the UK application form for EFMs didnt have an option for the SS route, only in the FM form. I do know that a recent case got allowed where an unmarried partner was allowed SS in appeal but UK hasnt changed its policies to allow SS for EFMs after this outcome. Dont know how it will work out in the future.

If you do know anything further about it please let me know too as that changes a lot for us and our plans. I got 1 EFM and 1 FM EU1 case that we are awaiting a reply on.

That refers to EFMs of other EU nationals residing in the UK so their EFMS can apply. In your case you want to use SS route to get back in the UK with the sponsor british citizen returning back to UK. However, the uk doesnt recognize that the SS applies to EFMs.

Yes, thats right.

Hopefully should be with us next week.

I suppose it will be cleared when you apply for FP. I do know that a recent judge ruled that SS applies to an un-married partner which is classed as an EFM.

Strange!

Did you drop them any email in the past few weeks to check the status of your application?
