The INIS says if we wish to remain in the state more than 3 months we should apply for the EU1 to extend our stay! if your 3 months visa runs out then you will be overstayed in the stay no? why you don't wish to apply within 3 months? any specific problems?
Stay blessed

Hi,

Just to add, we were told to apply as soon as possible I.e. The documents are ready and we did apply straight away for EU1.

A reading of the law indicates that a person should have resided in the state for a period of 3 months and intend to reside for longer, before they can apply.
That however does not seem correct.

A whole new regulation is coming into effect from Monday. One will need to have a look and see its effect.
