Ireland Directive 2004/38/EC

Post by maniani » Fri May 02, 2014 9:53 am

Dear Friends

I am a British citizen . I am currently in India with my family. My wige and my sons are Indian nationals. I want to settle in Ireland with my family becaus it is impossible to settle in UK because of tough finical requirement. I want to apply for visa under Directive 2004/38/EC. I know that Ireland Embassy in india issue a 3 month single entry visa under Directive. I want to know the list of document need to submit with visa application in india under directive. I also want to know the procedure to get residence card after entering Ireland. I want to know the whole process . My wife and my sons have been refused Uk settlement visa twice because of finical required and will this effect my visa application ? Please friends comment in this thread with all answer to my question.

The process is long and complex. I can't see anyone replying to such a huge question, however, you might want to start by searching in Google for 'Surinder Singh via Ireland'. This will bring up a lot of useful info.

The Surinder Singh route is for family members of people from one company who want to go to another EEA country to work and then return to their country of citizenship. It is often used by British citizens to get an easier route into the UK after working in Ireland/Spain etc. The start of the process is the same if you want to live in Ireland and not necessarily return to the UK after working there for a while.

You need to become familiar with the Surinder Singh route and INIS. Good will become very useful for you.

See here: http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/INIS/Pages/EU ... y%20Rights.

PS: You're right about the initial visa for entry which is issued by the Irish Embassy in India.

The answers are all available on Google. I doubt anyone will take the time to answer such an onerous question, especially when all the info is available on other places.
