Join spouse visa processing time

Post by Latintraveller » Mon Dec 17, 2012 12:43 am

Does anyone know the usual "Join spouse" visa processing time for applications made in mid to late January?

I guess it is not peak season so should be processed quite quickly.

Thank you!

Ouch! That is a long wait. I hope we dont have to wait too long or our savings will dwindle away. Besides, my new wife's child will miss out on schooling.

EU countries are obliged to grant your third country family members every facility to obtain the necessary visas. These should be issued free of charge as soon as possible and on the basis of an accelerated procedure. The Commission considers that delays of more than four weeks are not reasonable.

I don't think it applies if both are non-EU nationals.
