Next ceremony

Guys, good news. I phoned the Convention Centre Dublin. The next ceremony is not listed under 'upcoming events', but the lady on the phone told me that the ceremony is confirmed for the 20th January.

I am very confused, how DOJ would make it on 20th Jan ? No one have received any invitation yet. DOJ have not updated their website. No one is informed about it, why and for what reason DOJ is not disclosing the next ceremony date......

That's normal. They usually announce the date and send invitations two weeks before the actual ceremony. If the Jan 20th date is true (and looks like it is), expect invitations to start coming in next week.

got my invite this morning..20th at 9.10

I got my invitation letter for 20th at 9.20 am this morning.

Lets hope more letters are to come by tomorrow .....

had earlier submitted the requested documents and fee. You will be invited
to a future ceremony, there is no date confirmed as yet.

Today morning my wife's invitation for 20th Jan citizenship ceremony has arrived....all praise to GOD.

Applied : April 2013 as spouse of Irish citizen.
Acknowledgment : June 2013
Second stage letter: July 2013
Approval: Nov 2013
Document send 22nd Nov 2013
Invitation for 20th Jan ceremony: 8th Jan.

This forum has been a great help through out mine and my wife's journey to Irish citizenship ....it was quite a bumpy ride (sometime pretty frustrating and irritating). My best wishes are with all hopefuls for Irish citizenship ....remember patience is name of the game (I had come to Ireland as student in 2003).

Finally now we will be able to travel visa free.

Same thing here...fully subscribed so wait for the next one.. extremely frustrating this !

I submitted the documentation 16/12 don't worry you will invite for next coming ceremony just wait for the next invention letter and relax.

What my observation is, who ever have submitted the docs before the end of Nov are invited to the 20th Jan ceremony, and who ever submitted their doc in Dec are routed to next one...

For those who haven't received the invitation letter yet don't be disappointed as more invitation letters coming soon. I submitted my application on Dec and till today 8th Jan my invitation letter still not arrived yet. I just email the department and they reply to me said that I has been scheduled to attend the 20th Jan ceremony and will receive the invitation letter in the coming days. Thank God!
