oh no, Allan Shatter has resigned:

I'm sure this impacts the ceremony date as the minister is the person who has to be there for it...

usually the ceremonies are held on Mondays, or if there is a bank holiday, it would then be on Tuesday. This conclusion is by looking at previous ceremony dates. On the convention center website "http://www.theccd.ie/upcoming-events" , the unreserved days for the upcoming weeks are as follows:

Monday 19 May: reserved
Monday 26 May: unreserved
Monday 02 June: bank holiday
Tuesday 03 June: unreserved
Monday 09 June: reserved
Monday 16 June: unreserved
Monday 23 June: unreserved
Monday 30 June: unreserved

Hope it is the earliest date...

I honestly don't get it. Why is everyone picking up on this poor buzz guy. I recently sent them an email regarding the next ceremony and the in the reply the dude said as they haven't decided on the next date but he's pretty sure it will be in 2 months time. So this buzz guy is actually spot on. Stop bashing someone only coz you didn't like what he typed in his post.

Hi, I have applied and had 4 penalty points, was never brought to court, was just given on the spot fines twice, once for speeding and the other for being on the phone while driving. Once again was never brough to court. I also did not mention them on my application since I did not see them as an issue. Got my approval letter on the 24th of April, and I have sent the € 950.00 administration fee on Friday the 9th of May 2014.

Well my friend had the same minor offence, got his approval in December 2013 he paid 950 but in 2nd week of January he got letter that he has the traffic offence in 2007 and why never mentioned, now he explained to the department but no replay since January,
No invitation for any ceremony which was held in Dublin, Waterford or again in Dublin
Good luck

traffic offences...that only led to penalty points plus a fine which was paid, in my case. I have spoken to a number of people who are in the legal field and deal with citizenship applications, that if it didnt lead to a court case, they do not need to be mentioned.

im not sure what your friends situation is. I do not have any issues telling them about my fines, as i dont see them being a huge deal. but the question in section 11 was "if we have basically been to court" - and the answer in my case it was "NO".

Hi,

I think its look more honest and you will avoid lot problems if you mention any offence you had in the past whether the offence is small, big or dealt with court. based on my own experience, I had 4 penalties point both of them was fined with 80 euro, i did mention them and also include the fine payment receipt and i was fine , i got my approval in around 6 month time.

so for avoiding any issue that could happen is better to mention everythings.

Regards.

Hi Everyone,

People here are like children when sending emails and sometimes they don't know how to choose the right words and phrases. Although I feel like knocking their lights out or sending them equally vicious and rude emails...but I don't do that. That will only escalate the problem when dealing with ignorance. I'm not saying that I have to accept his/her rudeness. I'm simply saying that sometimes a polite gesture gets them off guard because they are expecting a similar aggressive email/chatting only to take their frustration they have in their own lives. But when someone is being rude on purpose, you'll have to take a stand against that kind of nonsense. Leaving this chat group, and wishing all the best to many good people here.
