Non EU Spouse of Irish National

Post by atkin » Sun Jan 18, 2015 10:40 am

I am thinking of having a civil partnership with a visa required Filipino national. The new policy regarding family reunification has changed. I am living in Ireland but do not meet the financial requirements . I can have the ceremony in an approved country that is recognised by the Irish state. I cannot move to the UK for personal reasons and exercise EU treaty rights to bring him here .
What are the options in my case if he was already in Ireland but without a visa or still in the Philippines and to apply for a tourist visa .I have enough funds to cover his expenses for a short stay.
