Parents - Dependent Visa from Pakistan

Post by CalvinKlien » Sun Oct 26, 2014 8:15 am

Dear All,

I am an Irish citizen, living in Dublin and if i want to apply for a dependent visa for my parents from Pakistan, does any one know what's the requirement for their visa application.

Please Note: I need help with the dependent visa and NOT for a visit visa. In other words they should stay with me on long term bases.

I have a full time job since i arrived in the state many years ago and never been on any social welfare payments. My parents are about 60 years of age.

Please advise and share your experiences.....

It is tested on the basis of your finances.

so if you want to call both of your parents your net income should be 75k for at least for the previous 3 years and then other basic immigration criteria will apply.

@ londonirish79

Thanks for your reply. Yes my net income is well over 75K in the past three years, which i can prove in the form of P60's / P21's and payslips. Is there any requirement that the parents should be over a certain age ? My parents are 60 and 62 years of age.

Then go ahead and make the application you have to prove the finances first which you are ok with and age is also fine as over 60 is ok for asking for old age support they require from you. If you can afford engage a lawyer who could help you in the process.

i think 75k is total of three years...
but as far as i know, you need to prove their dependency on you, to show them that you send them constantly money for at least one year and that they do not have another source of income and if you can, bring medical certs and things like that.

net salary threshold is in place for one year
i.e if you like to call one parent your net salary should be 60k for one year and if you like both parents then it should be 75k for one financial year and not for 3 years.

numbers should make sense 75k for 3 years means 25k each year which is not the case

@ londonirish: Where did you get this information? Any link to an official source to check the salary requirements?

Thanks for ur help, however ur statement is confusing me, On one hand you are saying that 75K should be earned in three years and than on the other hand you are saying 75K should be earned per year.

Could you please clarify ?

Thanks in advance...

ok

may be i should have said 75k p.a for at least previous 3 years

so again to make it clear criteria is 75k p.a net and the applicant should have this net salary p.a threshold for the previous 3 years before making an application.

See link below read page 50 and Let me know if still not clear.
