Suggest divorce in country of marriage.

Not really an immigration matter.

Members only have the privilege of the PM facility after 30 posts.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

HI Guys i hope you all Well

i really need help to Resolved this issue
March 2013 i got married with Latvian women.we all living together till now
my marriage with her more than 3 years now.i want to apply Retention .but you only can apply Retention if you are
divorce , withdraw the state
or death.
i really dont know what to do in this situation . by Irish law you can only get divorce after 4 years
and she not living anymore in her country so i guess she can not apply divorce .
is that possible if we applied separation through soliter then i can go for Retention or any other way if any one can help i really appreciate.

The law as it stands in Ireland, does not recognize separation. It used to, but now it does not.
