Taking spouse to Ireland

Post by Mrsgkhan » Tue May 26, 2015 1:42 pm

I have spent the whole day on the internet trying to get information about visa requirements and I need help. I'm getting more confused the more I read. My husband I and I want to go to Ireland. I am a British citizen and he is a Pakistani citizen. Can he accompany me as a family member of an EU citizen or does he need to get another kind of visa? Do I already need to be in Ireland for him to join me there as a family member or an EU citizen?

He can accompnay you as an EU family member. Regarding the visa:

Once in the State, he can apply for EU Treaty Rights based on your employment/studying in the State. If you have any more queries, feel free to email me at the address below.
