thai wife refused irish naturalisation...im an irish citizen

Post by dmax » Fri Nov 06, 2015 8:02 pm

been married to thai wife for 8 years, we seperated 3 years ago. she remains in uk- belfast. we have no plans to divorce and are currently working on our marriage and see each other often though we still live seperately.

she has been refused irish naturalisation even though we are married, im an irish citizen, we have a daughter who was born in belfast .

so what can we now do ?

if daughter gets her irish passport surely then she will be allowed irish naturalisation based on daughters citizenship ?

please help. thanks

Why was she refused? Was it on the basis that you are not in a subsisting relationship?

If that is the case, then they may be correct. She may rely on Irish association.
