Indian Passport for New Born in UK

Hi,

My friend just had a new baby in UK.

Both parents are Indian passport holders.
He is planning to Visit India in April.
So we presume we need to register child birth and apply for Indian Passport in UK prior to their Trip.

Anything else required for baby to travel back to India?

For Re enter into UK, they will apply for Dependent Visa while they are in India (Mom & Baby will stay there for 2-3 months) so hope they will have enough time to process Visa.

Kindly let me know if we need to be aware of anything else.
