Can anyone please reply for below queries
1/ How long is OCI valid for infants (since BP is valid for 5years)
2/ Can I make combine application for myself and my son (4weeks old)
3/ which is better for infants PIO or OCI?

For Minors you must update passport details every time you get a new passport (ie 5yrs)

You can do a family application for OCI, the online form does have a option in the end of your application to add another family member.
3/ which is better for infants PIO or OCI?
Always go for PIO for minors as its lifelong (now) and also no need to update each time a new passport is issued also costs £63 lesser than OCI.

I just noticed that we have been issued 2 OCI booklets without 'Assistant Consular Officer' stamp on page 1. However a signature is present. Third booklet does have a stamp and signature both.
Anyone noticed this and is it normal ?

I submitted the application in person at CGI Birmingham on 27-OCT-2014. Can you kindly advise when the OCI number will be generated? Is it something that gets generated within a week after acknowledgement or only when the document printing status changes from Under Process to Printed?

Received our passports with OCI Sticker and OCI booklets. They have pasted the OCI sticker in my wife and son passport but not in my passport. so initially I thought they have forgot to send mine. Then my OCI sticker has FALLEN from middle of my OCI booklet. I have pasted it myself in my british passport

. They are so irresponsible

, that it would have been lost. I am lucky in this instance.

Anyways happy ending at the end... This finishes our journey.

Hi

To collect the OCI, can i send just the envelope I purchased from post office (the blue royal mail special delivery envelope with prepaid stamp on it) or should I also include a thick cover to go into the special delivery envelope?. I am asking this because the envelope seems a bit thin to hold all the passports?. Also, since i have too many passports (old and new) to send, can i send each one seperately?. I know that i can send them togother but it is too many to send in one cover. thank you.

HCI have returned my documents last week and I reapplied with original naturalisation certificate + Indian PP with oci application . I have enclosed SD envelope again.

Now I am worried about my originals and do you know if any one got the originals back with royal mail SD envelope.
