Spelling mistake in Pakistani passport

friends i receive my passport today.There is a spelling mistake in my sir name.my father's name is abid mahmood but on my passport there is abid mehmood.there is spell mistake in mahmood.what should i do?is this a big mistake if i apply for student visa anywhere in UK or Europe?

Apply for a change in name at your local passport authority. Though it is not serious, you might be questioned if you present two sets of ID proof where the name is spelt differently.

I wouldnt bother doing anything about it. It will hardly make a difference at all. Its sounds the same at least
