URGENT:Damaged naturalisation certificate-OCI Application

Post by ATP1983 » Tue Feb 07, 2017 12:05 pm

Hi

I have damaged my naturalisation certificate while opening the envelope. However only the Edge is torn from top to bottom and nothing of the contents. I have managed to cellotape it back cleanly.

I have now got my British passport but still need to surrender my Indian passport and apply for OCI.

1)Will the damaged certificate be a problem when surrendering my Indian passport or applying for OCI eventhough its slightly torn.
2)Do i need to submit the original certififacte of naturalisation while surrendering Indian passport or applying for OCI
3)I see the replacement Certficate is 192£(an Expensive mistake) -- Should i still get this? Will this certificate be needed to submit anytime in future as i have now got my british passport?

Please advice

Thnx
