hey both u guys pls can you tell me after how many days at what time you got the message that your passport has been dispatched?

I had interview yday and my status online changed yday. Got the sms last evening and expecting the blue dart delivery yoday.

Quite anxious about the decision though

congratulations for those who got visa...

My in-laws applied UK visiting visa on 24th of March in Hyderabad VFS office. Till now they didn't receive any SMS or mail about the status of visa application and there is no option in online to know the status(bcz the process changed recently).

1) How you guys know that, Need to go for interview ?
2) How may days it will take to know the decision for visiting VISA ?

Can some one provide the Chennai visa office mail id to know the status.

this is the link to check the visa status it will only show you details if you have paid for the sms services

if they select them for interview they would call them expect a call from 0442******* number

for any info or confusion write directly to chennai visa center Chennai.Visaenquiry@fco.gov.uk dont forget to mention your application number and other details !

Finally got tbe visa today! Supe excited..

12 Mar - submitted applications in VFS Blore

17 Mar - email confirmation on application

3 Apr - call from VFS chennai for a face to face interview on 9th Apr

9th April - reached British high comission 35 mins before time

Interview started dot on time

The english visa officer was highly approachable and sensitive

15 mins of interview.

Got a msg same day o Processed application being couriered through bluedart

10 Apr - got the docs and with passport stamped with visa approval

Key Learnings
1. File application yourself
2. Submit thorough documentatio
3. Book tickets and stay to make case stronger
4. Write a comprehensive co er letter to convey your itinerary and your current employment
5. Be absolutely truthful in providing informatio
6. If its first time they will call u for interview.
7. In interview do not premeditate answers. State facts as they are.

Pridvi, yes he told me he will make a decision in 5 mins. Though my case was slightly different as my tickets were booked on 17th. So they expedited. Wat abt urs ? Any news?

just got the message that my processed application has been dispatched through blue dart... and it was a mystery till i got the passport!

yes i have paid for the sms updates and got the confirmation on the sms only
