Be more patient, many people are waiting like you including myself. But we hope letters will keep coming after Easter holiday. If you write them what you will get is the same automated story. info@citizenship.ie

You should receive some correspondence in the coming days regarding your

Does anybody knows what that means?

Got my approval this morning:

Application based on: 5 years working in Ireland (3yr work permit, 2 years green card)
Nationality: Pakistani
Applied: 13-Nov-2013
First Reply: 03-Dec-2013
Second Reply: 15-Jan-2014
Approval Date: 24-Apr-2014

Question: it asks for your GNIB card...once I submit it, will I be able to travel as I have a few trips coming ahead??

Thanks,
Adeel

@ wangmuyuan, did you check your mail-box this morning? The reply sounds like you are getting a letter soon. But I cannot be sure as I am still waiting for mine. Did you e-mail them this morning? It does seem like they start mailing out the approval letters after Easter! Hope we all get it shortly. :D

I have talked to a friend who recently became irish citizen and he said that you just need to show your approval letter to officer at airport and it will be all fine.

Hi All,

I just got the approval letter today saying Mr. Alan intends to grant a cert of citizen.

Application Basis: 5 year residency (Non-EU), Stamp 1&4

1st Acknowledgment Date: 20-Sept 2013
2nd Acknowledgment Date: 11-Dec 2013
Letter of approval Date: 23-April 2014
Documents submitted Date: ?
Invitation letter Date: ?
Ceremony Date: ?

- The address to send document is F.S.P.SA Citizenship Section, Rosanna Road, Tipperary. Is it new address ?
- How long is it from date document submitted to the invitation letter date ?
- My GNIB card is due to renew next month, but I have to send it to INIS this time, and it is unlikely that I can get the Invitation letter soon enough, what should I do ?

Thank you.

The letter says that 'You should also be aware that once you submit your GNIB Card, it will no long be available to you for travel or other purposes'.

Notice the word 'it will no long be available'. This means that you will no longer have it to be used as an identification when you travel and does not mean that you cannot travel as well.

I have a friend going to the GNIB office tomorrow and will ask them this question and post here as well.

- Yes that seems to be the new address, I had that one as well.
- From previous folks it can take a few weeks to a month. It really depends when they decide on the ceremony date as well
- With this letter, you do not need a GNIB card any more. I think you can use this letter as a residency letter however best to check with the GNIB office as you don't want to be illegal in the state at any time.

Yes, and my friends also my teammates just sits besides me, both him and his wife has done the samething that just show the officer their approval letter. I also have another friend he has done similar thing but instead he photocopied his GNIB card.

None of the above approaches is 100% guaranteed, If you could post your friends answer tomorrow will be great!!!

Okay Guys, Don't stress out if you haven't got it. I applied for stamp 4, waited 8 months to get rejected because i didn't have one thing; Private Medical Insurance... Then i applied for Citizenship, waited 3 months and a bit! Guess what? this morning i got letter from immigration office, and finally! i got my letter of approval for Citizenship! I'm granted the Citizenship! I'm all over the moon and God is Good! i thought i would have to wait for a year or more but 2014, they do things a lot quicker. Okay, sorry for the rant but this website kept me going and i gotta thanks those people who've shared their stories and stuff with us, so i thought i'd do the same to put some people's mind at ease! yeno, those that are worrying about their applications.

I applied my application under 5 years residency and blood related to an Irish National (my dad who is holding Irish passport thru' nationalization.) I'm 19 by the way.

Application Submitted: 14.01.14
Acknowledgement Letter: 27.01.14
Second Stage of Processing Letter: 28.02.14
Letter of Approval: 23.04.14

and i will need to submit prescribe fee of 950 euro, 2 colour passport sized photographs with application ref. written at the back of them, Original Cert of Registration like GNIB card yeno. that's pretty much it.

and then after submitting these things they asked, the next letter off them should be the Confirmation Letter of my Ceremony Date and that's pretty much it.

Be patient, Joseph waited 13 years, Abraham waited 25 years, Moses waited 40 years, Jesus waited 30 years, IF GOD IS MAKING YOU WAIT, YOU'RE IN GOOD COMPANY.

Good Luck Everyone. Sleep well and have faith!
