Passport Expiry

Post by ilrapplication » Thu Apr 17, 2014 6:38 pm

Hi
I have a TG1 visa valid till aug 2014 and going to apply for ilr in july 2014, my passport is expiring in may and I have already applied to renew my passport and I will get the new passport in 3 weeks time. Now my question is do I need to inform the home office regarding the new passport or not, if do not inform them about it is it going to affect my ilr application in any way?

Thanks

What do you mean by informing? You will applying for ILR with ur new pasport, old passport will become defunct once you get the new one.

"What do you mean by informing" It means do I need to inform the HO when I get my new passport as they say you should inform them about any changes, so I am not sure whether to wait till I apply for ILR or email them about the new passport?
Thanks

I dont think there is any need to inform HO on your replacement PP. Unless you have any name or other changes.

not the home office, but you need to inform the police if you are subject to police registration
