Applying for ILR through Tier 1 after failed 10 year ILR

Post by ashok83 » Sat Apr 19, 2014 7:03 am

Hi everyone, I am applying for ILR after completing 5 yr Tier 1 general, I have few questions

1) I came to UK in sep 2001 as student, I have overstayed by 36 days in 2006 still on stduent visa, I came to know this only when I applied for 10 year settlement in 2011, because they approved my subsequent visas and Tier 1 general in 2009 I was not aware of this overstay until my failed ILR applicTion in 2011 on 10 year stay.

2) now, I am applying for ILR on 5 year completion of tier 1 general which started in 2009,

3) what are my chances of getting ILR , will I be rejected again based on previous rejections.

Kindly share your thoughts on the topics please.

Thank you
Ashok

should be ok, since 2006 is before the start of qualification period you'll be using.
general ban is only if overstay 90+ days
