Ireland PhD Student Visa Process and Timeline

Post by cjh234 » Sun Jul 20, 2014 9:56 pm

Hello,

Have some questions about the student visa process for Indians going to study in Ireland. We can't find exact information on the visa process. She will be applying for study visa after receiving full scholarship for PhD program. Can anyone provide a process overview once she has submitted the online application and pays the visa fee?

How long is each step?
What paperwork may be required (besides letter from university)?
Is there a physical exam?
Are there any requirements for healthcare coverage?
Any requirements to bank accounts if there is full scholarship and stipend?
Is there an additional form needed if she wants to seek employment while in school?

She is currently in Delhi, but does not live there. Will there be any requirements for her to visit the embassy after the process has begun?

Thank you for the help.
