Possible change of date for Family visitor after issuance

Post by amitrehan » Thu Jul 24, 2014 3:26 pm

Hi,

I would really appreciate any info regarding the change of dates on the Visa that is alredy issued.

My Dad recently got UK family visitor visa but the date is out by one day. He has the tickets for 9th August and visa starts from 10th August.

Is it possible to change the date on the Visa?

Best Regards

There's no harm in asking them. However, if worst comes to worst, he may have to change flights or wait until midnight.

The wait till midnight might be a problem if coming into Heathrow. The last flight that landed there tonight (Thursday) was at 23:05 into T4 from Munich - all those passengers would be processed and gone.

I suspect the border agents might want to go too - now it'd be a pretty hard hearted border agent who turned someone around for being a day early ... but ...

Gatwick's a bit of a different matter with flights through the night.

If you wanted to be sure - I'd change the flight.
