The numbers for the DX are 08443713335 and 084443710000, just call them and give them your postcode, and ask if there is any thing waiting for you to be delivered or is out for delivery, mind it they will need to check your ID before they hand it over to you or any one at home, so be ready with that. I hope the BRP is not far. Enjoy mate.

Hi All
i wonder if someone can answer these questions

what changes has taken place for dependents, do they have to be in UK with main applicant (10 year route) for more the 5 year or can They apply without any time constraint and is it compulsory to change the status of dependent within 28 days of receiving 10 year long residence ilr even if they have a valid leave to remain left
if someone can answer these queries i would be grateful

Thank You

hi guys!

I wonder what the HO will say regarding the status of an application if somebody call them immediately after they have got their ILR. Will they still be saying "pending"? If i can recall my memory correctly, some of the members in this forum heard the word "pending" from HO and they very next day they got their ILR. :?
Applied for FREEDOM on the 20th March

By the Grace Of God, my wife has been granted two years flrm visa, we hv received the brp card today.

Thank you so much this forum.
Good luck with every one s applications.

allwell46 wrote:Hello All

I had applied for my wife's FLR M on 03 April 2014 while my ILR on 10 years basis were being considered. I have received my ILR recently and just received my wife's FLR M passport, documents and home office letter back.
It does not say anything about approved or reject but I assume it is approved because there is no rejection letter. In the home office letter it says you can apply ILR after 2 years but I believe these are standard letters to every one for just guidance. I have phoned to DX courier to find out if there is any delivery for us and they said no.

What do u thing Is it approved and if so how long is the visa?
We are desperately praying for 2 years visa as my wife was pre july 2012 pbs dependant and we applied before 6 april 2014 before fm appendix kicks in.

Please guide

congrats both of you:)
you mentioned
(I had applied for my wife's FLR M on 03 April 2014 while my ILR on 10 years basis were being considered)

what that mean?

does it mean that your wife's visa was running out and you requested home office not to take decion on flr(M) while your set (lr) application decided???
please clarify
thanks

• Should I put both application forms in one / same envelope and send at Set (LR) address?
• Or should I send my mrs FLR (FP) at its own address "separately"?

Or those who applied for their Spouse for FLR (M) along with their Set (LR) did they send them in same envelope or send separately?
Hi Tier4,
Both the applications will go to different addresses. Addresses are in the respective applications.
Please write a covering letter with your Mrs FLR(FP), explaining that you are the sponsor, and that your wife is your dependent, and that you have just applied for ILR through SET(LR), and that obviously you don't have a Home Office reference number for the application yet, but that could be provided if they need it later, once you receive the acknowledgement letter. And request Home Office to hold decision on your Mrs FLR(FP) till your SET(LR) is decided. I did the same with my Mrs FLR(M) and they send an acknowledgement letter to her saying that they have put her application on hold till there is a final decision on my application, and when I received my ILR, I was just thinking to write to them to start the process on my wife application, but she got the approval letter the very next day, so you understand, they will club your Mrs application with you and as soon as they make a decision on your application they will immediately decided your Mrs application and send it. I hope the explanation helps. All the best with your forthcoming applications. Many thanks.
Kind regards
Shahjee
Many thnaks that was a great help, may Allah bless you with happiness.

Much appreciated
Hi shahjee, just curious....how long did it take them to make decision on your wife's FLR M? After you received your approval on SET LR? What is the time/days difference between when you got your SET LR approval and when your wife received her FLR M approval?

Hi Spartacus,
I received my documents for my SET(M) on the 13th of June, and the approval letter was just a day earlier, dated the 12th of June, and my wife and daughters received their documents back for their FLR(M) on the 17th June, and the approval letter was dated 16th June, hence the Home Office just took 4 days to decide on their application after my SET(M). And mind it 14th and 15th of June was Saturday Sunday, hence non working days, so I would say took just 2 working days to get decision on their FLR(M). Many thanks.

Hi all,

I'm very confused with these new rules, I hope someone can help.

We had our appointment at settlement checking service and calls to the home office confirmed my partner is eligible even double checked with a manager.

I'm wondering if there is some grey area.

What I'm trying to understand is whether this 6th of April rule applies to ALL points based dependants or it depends which type of pbs prior July 2012. For example if it was tier 4, 2 etc.

I had tier 2 visa which is a route that leads to settlement unlike some other tiers. However I applied on the basis of long residence for ilr.

My question is: does my husband qualify because he had a pbs tier 2 dependant visa prior to July 2012?

His brp is 2 and half years, but why did even management confirm he is eligible to apply for setM.

Welcome back shajee, I wondered whether all was well with you. Glad things are ok!
