What documents do i need for wife's ilr (form M)

Post by hummus » Wed Jul 23, 2014 6:44 pm

I'm British and my wife is on a spouse visa
Is their a list somewhere of all the stuff I need to send with form M?
I should be able to send next month.
Do I need a paper statement from my bank? As I mostly do online banking.
The biometric stuff we do can be done at the premium centre, is that correct?
Is the settlement checking service worth it?
On the form where do I write about how much savings we have?

Thanks for your help guys

I suggest you start by reading the SET(M) form.

The SCS can be worth it as they'll check your application and you get to keep your documents.

That seems sensible.

Is it ok to print it off in black and white? (a bit obvious maybe but the government can be a bit pedantic)
Also do I need to print off the first 4 pages? as they are just waffle

Unless the guidance specifically requires colour printing (which it doesn't), there is no problem in printing the form in black and white.

Our marriage certificate is in Japanese, but we have a translation. Do we put both in?

Doing the part about public funds. Do I receive the public funds for child benefit, child tax credits and working tax credits? So I don't put any amounts in her boxes?
